The University of York is committed to making Exploring Your Options accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
This accessibility statement applies to the Exploring Your Options interactive film and the webpages that host and describe it (i.e. this website).
This document begins with information about the accessibility of Exloring Your Options, but you can skip to information on how to use our accessibility features.
Compliance Status
Exploring Your Options is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliance listed below.
Non-accessible Content
- When using the keyboard to control the film, the keyboard becomes 'focussed trapped' for the buttons used for interaction. This means that the film will block keyboard input to the browser, preventing navigation away from the video window. This fails WCAG Success Criterion 2.1.2 (No Keyboard Trap).
We are trying to find a solution to this error as a priority. If this issue prevents you from using Exploring Your Options, we sincerely apologise and assure you that addressing this issue is a highest priority development task. The information available in the film can be found in an alternative format at https://cancerfertilityandme.org.uk.
